This game is so damn fun! There's been a lot of grappling hook game concepts, but this one nails it!!!!

I mean, the game is a fun and challenging but the melodramatic monologuing makes it sound like a 16 year old wrote it. Yes, I could always just get rid of it but why couldn't you just be a little more uplifting? Yes, whatever, there's a point to it or something but if you imagine an emo teenager with long dyed black hair covering their eyes and a choker typing that text on their computer it would fit very well. That's my only complaint about the game though. Everything else is great.

lmao that's completely fair. I recognize it's whiny and even say so in one of the levels. That said, I didn't write all of that to make the game better, even if it sounds counter intuitive. I wrote it because I'm too much of a perfectionist to let go of any of my projects. Putting the focus into the narrative and letting the audience know that the game isn't so much about the game itself (mechanics, graphics, sfx, etc) lets me get away with it not being the best game ever, because it's not supposed to be. Thanks for the review, by the way. The rest of my games probably won't have any monologue at all.

Edit: this didn't age well since my next game has the main character monologuing constantly lol.
